The investigation on sustainable and biodegradable materials is extremely crucial in today's production world.
Together with a team of six students, led by our teacher, Jack Brandsma, we worked on a project for IHOG Innovatiehub Oost-Groningen, where we made experiments with hemp, magnesium and potato starch as part of our research. With this project, our group was able to make multiple prototypes, from chairs to lampshades.
With this project, our group was able to make multiple prototypes, from chairs to lampshades, which I gained a lot of new knowledge on how to work with the unpredictability and characteristics of such materials. The learning process was full of trial & errors, which is key to material research.
