dead bug prototyping is a way of constructing functioning electronic circuits, by soldering components directly together, instead of the traditional way of using a PCB (printed circuit board).
I found this technique very fascinating since the transparency not only allows the user to understand how things "work", and also eliminates the use of unnecessary parts.
With some research and testing, I was able to create a dead bug speaker 1.0. The process included a lot of trial and error, where troubleshooting was essential yet very helpful in the learning process.
The second prototype, the dead bug speaker 2.0, comes with an extra bass boost and gain feature. The assembly of this speaker was way faster since I was getting quite familiar with the technique.
For the continuation of this project, I wish to create a transparent case for the speaker where the components are still visible to the user, but make the object less fragile in general.
I also plan to create more objects with different functions and scale them up.
